"Robert (or Jeff or Bob) Jefferis had a lifelong love of anything traveling on rails, especially trains. Over the years, he assembled an extensive research library with books about both narrow and standard gauge steam as well as electric streetcars and interurban trains of the United States.
My wife and I have been in the auction business since 1994, so Mom has asked me to assist her in finding a new home for each of the items in Dad’s collection. There are photos of some of the books below. If you see an item that you are interested in, please contact us for condition and price information and details about the book.
Book Condition Ratings
New: A brand new, unused, unread copy in perfect condition.
Like New: An apparently unread copy in perfect condition. Pages are clean and not marred by notes or folds of any kind.
Very Good: A copy that has been read but remains in excellent condition. May have writing on the inside cover but pages have no writing, but one or two may have a small tear.
Good: A copy that has been read but remains in clean condition. The cover and all pages are intact. The spine may show signs of wear. Pages can include notes and highlighting.
Acceptable: A readable copy. Pages can include considerable notes in pen or highlighter, but the notes do not obscure the text.
